About us

Founded in 2019, Miss Millie’s Flower Farm is one of the first and largest U-Pick flower farms in Manitoba. Nestled along the banks of the Assiniboine River and only a short 30 minute drive west of the Winnipeg perimeter, visitors are welcome to book an appointment to wander through the gardens, cut fresh bundles, enjoy the views, take photos and relax amongst the serenity of the gardens.

We have been given the opportunity and challenge to be the caretakers of God's creation through every single stem we grow.

Our mission is to provide a relaxing space that can ignite creativity through the power of flowers and nature. We want everyone to leave our farm with the gift of a delightful experience and appreciation for God's creation.

Jodi

Founder

With over 10 years in the horticulture industry and completing her Prairie Horticulture Certificate in 2014 at the U of M, Jodi spent her years designing landscapes and working for Jeffries Nurseries in Portage La Prairie.

After enjoying a few summers at home, Jodi found her passion for growing flowers and dreamt of sharing them with others! And so, in 2019 the seed was planted for Miss Millie’s U-Pick Flower Farm. In 2024 Jodi passed the torch over to her son Kirby and his wife Victoria.

In the off season, Jodi enjoys a peaceful life with her husband Gary, Millie and spending time with her children.

Millie

quality control

The sweet girl that Miss Millie’s Flower Farm is aptly named after; Millie turned 8 in April of 2021 and has been by Jodi’s side since she was brought home for her daughter.

Easy going and a self proclaimed people lover, Millie can be found lying in the sun during the summer and next to the fireplace keeping warm in the winter.

Be sure to give her a pet when you see her amongst the flowers.

Gary

The anchor

Without his time, energy and support, Miss Millie’s wouldn’t be what it is today. He builds greenhouses, puts up fences - takes down fences, moves buildings and then moves the same buildings again (do you see a pattern?) Fixes the breaks and the breakdowns.

While helping Miss Millie’s, he runs his grain farm operation, all with a smile and easy going attitude.

Thank you for being our anchor!

Victoria

owner

My love affair with farms began in childhood, and it blossomed into a lifelong passion. In 2020, I proudly earned my Agriculture diploma at the U of M. Little did I know that this academic journey would lead me right where my heart belonged.

In 2019, fate smiled upon me when my mother-in-law founded Miss Millie's. From the first bloom, I knew it wasn't just a farm; it was my end game. Today, as one of the owners, I'm living my dream of cultivating beauty and connection with friends and family.

Kirby

Owner

Kirby, Jodi’s eldest son and Victoria’s husband worked as a draftsman before joining us full time on both the flower farm and the grain farm - it seems his wifey brought the farmer out of him!

Kirby helps manage all operations of the farm including U-Pick, irrigation, overseeing construction & more! You can occasionally find him in the greenhouse with the plants.

His experience in drafting has been a great asset when designing the layout of the farm. We are always knocking on his door for all things computer related.
